Ground Cumin

Earthy cumin brings familiar depth to beans, chili, taco fillings and roasted vegetables. Use it as the starting point for a homemade seasoning mix or add a little to a skillet meal that needs a warmer, fuller flavor.

How much to use: Start with 1/2 teaspoon per pound of meat or vegetables, then adjust to taste.

Stir briefly into warm oil with your other seasonings, then add the remaining ingredients before it scorches.
